Business and Commercial Development Manager
$30.52 an hour – Permanent
THIS IS FULL TIME – PERMANENT POSITION
The Business and Commercial Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, negotiating, implementing and managing strategic partnerships with new clients in order to drive incremental growth by identifying and selling all the services offered by Whistler Superior Properties within the assigned territories.
Through a consultative sales and marketing process, the successful candidate will provide workflow solutions designed to increase clients, retain national and international current sales, generate and pursue new business opportunities for the North and Latin American market, and build customer loyalty. This is a field-based position reporting to the Company’s Controller. This position is based in Whistler, British Columbia .
Set and lead business development strategy and execute sales and marketing plans to attract partners, venture capital, distributors and new clients.
Drive customers Public Relations to maximize company exposure and share of voice.
Explore new digital and online media marketing (blogs, web, social media, etc.) to develop promotional and marketing activities to attract North and Latin American clients.
Develop and oversee the implementation of communication strategies and marketing, based on the area objectives and established metrics to ensure the brand positioning and profitability in the specific segment.
Develop and manage a business development plan to promote the company in new markets including key players/brands, consumers, competition and business models.
Analyze customers’ behaviors in order to identify opportunities for growth, customer satisfaction through market research, surveys, etc. and any other aspect aimed at improving service and increasing profitability.
Establish new contacts and developing strong relationships with prospects by sell services. Maintain relationships with customers by customer service, providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities; recommending service improvements.
Organize local shows, events, meetings and exhibitions to develop local and international community and business networks and clients prospect acquisition.
Identify new sales opportunities, while retaining current business, within existing accounts while maintaining profitability goals that meet or exceed territorial sales goals established by sales management.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
Business Administration Bachelor’s degree.
Mandatory to demonstrate fluency in technical and business conversations in English. Spanish a strong asset.
5+ years of experience in marketing, sales, promotions, event planning and developing new opportunities.
Experience on developing business cases based on P&L’s
Confident and clear communicator with energy and drive.
Demonstrate the ability to strategically target the right prospects, build lasting relationships and close deals with new clients.
Demonstrated analytical skills; ability to develop strategy, business plans, customer and market insights, competitive analysis, financial modeling practices and familiarity with cost analysis.
Strong computer skills with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint.
Proven experience managing budget control, marketing plans, developing contingency plans, etc.
Knowledge of operation of groups, meetings, events and conventions.

Part Time Housekeeper
Are you planning to work evenings and would you like to make extra money in the daytime?
We are looking to for a part time (with casual hours in the off season) housekeeping staff that want to work extra shifts, typically from 9:00 to 16:00. We would normally schedule work hours a week in advance.
Experience is desired but we would be willing to train the right person.
The ideal candidate must:
– Have a flexible schedule
– Be responsible (show up and on time to work when required)
– Have attention to detail
– Be able to work weekends and holidays
– Excellent working environment
– Competitive wage, $14.00 to $17.00 based on experience
