Bear Lodge - Town Plaza #207

Bear Lodge is in a fantastic location right in the heart of Whistler Village—technically in Village North, but it’s an easy walk to everything, including Blackcomb Village. The convenience of being able to step outside and walk to shops, restaurants, and the lifts was a huge plus. We also appreciated the ski lockers on the main floor. Each room has its own locker and ours easily fit three sets of skis and poles, which made storing gear simple after a day on the mountain. The unit itself had great amenities, including free laundry, a full kitchen and bathroom, and a comfortable sitting area. The pull-out couch allows the space to accommodate four adults; like most pull-outs it’s not the most comfortable, but placing the mattress on the floor works well. One thing to note is that our unit was located above a popular bar and a main village intersection, so it can be lively at night and a bit bright in the room despite the blinds. Light sleepers may want to bring a sleep mask or sound machine. The listing mentioned a hot tub and the check-in sheet referenced it as well, but during our stay it was out of order, which was a bit of a disappointment. Overall, the location is excellent and the value for staying right in the village was great. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider staying here again.

Older unit with some updates that could be made to make the stay better with minimal cost. Guest services were great!!!

This 1BR condo faces the village and has spectacular views. Great place to sit with some coffee and people watch. But be aware, it’s noisy! There is free secured/covered parking. Free Wi-Fi. A key fob is very convenient to enter your room and the parking garage. Very clean and spacious. I will definitely stay at The Bear Lodge again!!

This is our second stay in this condo. It’s a great location, excellent for watching the sights and sounds of the village. The condo is adequately supplied, only enough dishes for 2 people, which meant running the dishwasher daily. If you’re planning on cooking, bring your own condiments, plastic wrap, food containers, etc.

Good, except getting and returning the fob. It’s about 20 min walk round trip and if you have luggage, it can be quite a chore. Maybe the fobs could be programmed to work only on the days rented and mailed to renter in a dropbox in the lobby of the lodge you’re staying at?
