Guest Services / Maintenance Agent

Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and versatile individual to join our team as a Guest Services/Maintenance Agent at our vacation property management company. This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional guest experiences while ensuring the proper upkeep and maintenance of our properties. This is a permanent year round position.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Services:

  • Welcome guests warmly upon arrival, facilitating smooth check-ins and check-outs.
  • Provide outstanding customer service throughout guests’ stay, addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring all needs are met.
  • Offer recommendations and assistance regarding local attractions, dining options, and services to enhance guests’ vacation experience.
  • Coordinate and fulfill special requests to exceed guest expectations.

Maintenance and Handy Skills:

  • Perform a variety of maintenance tasks such as basic plumbing, electrical repairs, carpentry, painting, and general upkeep.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure all equipment and facilities are in optimal working condition.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and colleagues, prioritizing urgent issues to minimize disruptions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of public areas and grounds to uphold high standards.

Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate effectively with various departments such as housekeeping, reservations, and management to ensure seamless guest experiences.
  • Communicate efficiently with team members to share guest information and coordinate tasks effectively.

Qualifications/requirements:

  • Previous experience in hospitality, guest services, or property maintenance is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills with a proactive and friendly attitude.
  • Handy skills including basic plumbing, electrical repairs, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance.
  • Valid BC driver’s license and clean driving record required.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational training or certifications in hospitality or maintenance is advantageous.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
