Opening Day!

Well folks, straight from the lips of Whistler Blackcomb, “Whistler Mountain will officially open this Saturday, November 22nd.”

As an opening day enthusiast, I must say that I’m pretty darn excited!

I know that natural snow isn’t piling up quite as high as some opening days and I’m sure only my rock board or rock skis will likely see the slopes before December….but I’m still pretty darn excited. The thing that really pumps me up and ignites my winter flame is knowing that with each day spent and every turn made now, comes a bit more leg strength to get me through those long deep days which are just around the corner. If I want to have fun doing top to bottom tree runs in deep pow this winter, now is officially time to start getting those legs back.

The Whistler Weather forecast currently calls for 25cms of fresh snow the night before opening so that should certainly help to bring some added excitement.
